The thing I've yet to grasp about the AI hype is that I thoroughly enjoy thinking. The last thing I would want to offload on to a machine is my thinking.
Even really hard software problems (for me) bring me joy when I finally understand enough to determine an appropriate solution.
Maybe it's because I largely identify myself through my capacity for both abstract and concrete thought.
