I'm a pragmatic senior full-stack developer with about 20 years of coding experience. I was the co-founder and CTO of amy.app, an AI Math Tutoring platform. I helped scale the fully remote company to ~25 employees.
The release of OpenAI's real-time voice API reignited my interest in voice agents. About 8 years ago, I wrote my PhD thesis on the persuasive power of voice agents at the University of Oxford. However, the technology was not yet ready for production use.
I would love to work as a founding engineer or co-founder in a product/people-focused company using VUIs (voice user interfaces) or LLMs in general to improve people's lives.
